Cleaning Supplies and Client-Supplied Equipment

Maid for Knoxville, LLC normally provides its own professional cleaning products, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the requested services. If the Client requests that the Company use cleaning products, chemicals, tools, equipment, appliances, ladders, vacuums, or other materials supplied by the Client, the Client represents and warrants that such items are safe, properly maintained, in good working condition, suitable for their intended purpose, and do not require specialized training or certification beyond ordinary household use.

For the safety of our employees, we do not clean:

  • Bodily fluids (e.g., blood, feces, urine).
  • Mold infestations.
  • Hoarding situations (unless specifically agreed upon).
  • Insect/rodent infestations.

If such conditions are present, service may be refused, and a cancellation fee may apply.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Maid for Knoxville LLC has built its business and reputation by providing its clients with the best possible cleaning service available. Still, the Company realizes that because its operatives are human beings, they sometimes make mistakes. If you are not satisfied with the service, notify us by phone, text, or email within 7 days. We will re-clean the affected area at no additional cost. Re-cleaning shall be the Client's exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the quality of cleaning services. No refunds will be issued after the re-cleaning. Refunds will be issued only if the Client has cancelled a cleaning visit within the allowed time (24 hours) prior to the start of the cleaning session and a payment has been already received by the Company or if a Cleaner does not show up and payment for which has been already received by the Company.

Referrals

Get a 10% discount on your next cleaning service each time you refer someone to us, and their service is completed. The new client also gets 10% off their first cleaning service. Referral bonuses cannot be combined on a single invoice or with other discounts or promotions.

Customer Responsibilities

Provide access to the property at the scheduled time of service. Please don’t “clean” before we arrive, but do “pick up” as much as possible; for example, clearing the floors of clothing and toys, clearing surfaces of small items such as pens, coins, important documents, etc. Please don't worry about countertop appliances and small pieces of furniture - we clean and move those as we go. This type of pick up will allow us to focus more on detail and quality for you.

Pet Safety

As much as we love pets, we want to maintain the safety of you, your pets, and our staff. Please let us know ahead of time if you have pets so that we can discuss the best way to secure them. For sanitary purposes, we do not clean up after sick pets or pet accidents.

Maid for Knoxville, LLC strives to provide safe and respectful service in homes with pets. The Client agrees to notify the Company before the scheduled service if any pets will be present at the property.

The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that all pets are properly secured or otherwise controlled during the cleaning appointment. We reserve the right to request that any pet be confined to a separate room, kennel, fenced area, or other secure location before or during service if the Company's personnel reasonably believe the pet may interfere with the safe performance of the work.

If any pet displays aggressive, threatening, unpredictable, or unsafe behavior, or if Company personnel reasonably believe there is a risk of injury, the Company may immediately suspend or terminate the service. Cancellation, trip, or partial service fees may apply when service cannot be completed due to an unsecured or unsafe animal.

The Company is not responsible for the escape, injury, illness, stress, or death of any pet unless directly caused by the Company's gross negligence or willful misconduct. The Client remains responsible for ensuring that pets are properly secured before, during, and after the service visit.

Animal Bites and Animal-Related Injuries

The Client acknowledges that Maid for Knoxville, LLC's employees may enter areas where pets or other domestic animals are present. The Client assumes full responsibility for controlling and securing all animals on the property during the scheduled service.

If an employee, independent contractor, or agent of Maid for Knoxville, LLC is bitten, scratched, attacked, knocked down, or otherwise injured by an animal owned, harbored, or controlled by the Client, and shall be responsible for all damages arising from the incident to the extent permitted by applicable law, including but not limited to medical expenses, workers' compensation deductibles or uninsured costs, lost wages, and other damages resulting from the animal's actions, except to the extent the injury was caused solely by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Maid for Knoxville, LLC.

The Company reserves the right to immediately discontinue services if an animal presents an actual or reasonably perceived threat to the safety of Company personnel.

Notify the Company of any special cleaning needs, surfaces requiring special care, or restricted areas.

If utility service (including water or electricity), property access, or other conditions necessary to safely perform the scheduled service are unavailable upon arrival, the appointment may be postponed or cancelled. Cancellation or trip fees may apply if the condition was within the Client's control and appropriate notice was not provided. Events covered under the Company's
Force Majeure policy are excluded from this provision.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Because we reserve a time specific to you, please make any schedule changes at least 24 hours before service to avoid incurring a cancellation fee. If you wish to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, at least 24 hours' notice (excluding weekends and public holidays) is required. If a cleaning appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, or if the cleaner is unable to enter the property, you can be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of that cleaning's cost will be charged. For recurring services, two (2) weeks’ notice is required to discontinue the service. We must adhere strictly to this policy to prevent lost wages for your cleaner. Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may result in termination of service.

Force Majeure Policy

Maid for Knoxville, LLC shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, rescheduling, or failure to perform services when such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, flooding, tornadoes, fires, power outages, water outages, road closures, traffic accidents, vehicle breakdowns, governmental actions, public health emergencies, pandemics, labor shortages, employee illness or injury, supply chain disruptions, utility failures, equipment failures, or any other event that makes it unsafe, impractical, or impossible to perform the scheduled services. If a Force Majeure event occurs, the Company will make reasonable efforts to notify the Client as soon as practicable and will work with the Client to reschedule the service at the earliest mutually agreeable date. Neither party shall be considered in breach of this Agreement for delays or nonperformance resulting from such events. If a Force Majeure event prevents the scheduled service from being completed, the Client shall not be charged a cancellation fee related to the affected appointment. Likewise, the Company shall not be responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the delay, interruption, rescheduling, or inability to perform services due to a Force Majeure event.

The Company reserves the right to delay, suspend, or discontinue services whenever weather conditions, road conditions, property conditions, or other circumstances create an unreasonable risk to the safety of its employees, contractors, clients, or property.

Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Terminate Service

Maid for Knoxville, LLC is committed to providing a safe and professional work environment for both our clients and employees. The Company reserves the right to refuse, suspend, discontinue, or terminate services at any time, with or without prior notice, if conditions exist that, in the Company's sole reasonable judgment, make it unsafe, unlawful, impractical, or outside the agreed scope of work.

These conditions include, but are not limited to:

  • Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or violent behavior toward Company personnel.
  • Unsafe working conditions, including structural hazards, unsecured firearms, aggressive or uncontrolled pets, biohazards, suspected mold, insect or rodent infestations, exposed electrical hazards, sewage backups, hazardous chemicals, or any condition that presents a risk of injury or illness.
  • Illegal activity occurring on the property or circumstances that would require employees to violate any law, regulation, or safety standard.
  • Property conditions that are materially different from those disclosed during scheduling or that require services beyond the agreed scope of work.
  • Lack of essential utilities, including electricity or running water, when necessary to safely perform the requested services.
  • Conditions that pose a significant risk of damage to the Client's property, the Company's equipment, or the health and safety of Company personnel.
  • Failure to provide safe and reasonable access to the property or repeated denial of entry at the scheduled appointment time.
  • Failure to secure pets or disclose known hazards before service begins.
  • Nonpayment, repeated late payments, excessive cancellations or rescheduling, or any material breach of these Terms and Conditions.

If service is suspended or discontinued after arrival due to conditions within the Client's control, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, trip fee, or full-service fee, as permitted under these Terms and Conditions.

Whenever reasonably possible, the Company will explain the reason service could not be completed and, if appropriate, provide the Client with an opportunity to correct the condition so the appointment may be rescheduled. Nothing in this section obligates the Company to continue work where doing so would create an unreasonable risk to the safety of its employees, Clients, property, or the public.

Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of each service unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Maid for Knoxville, LLC.

The Client can authorize Maid for Knoxville, LLC to securely maintain a payment method on file for future services. Payment methods on file may be used to process authorized charges for completed services, approved additional services, applicable fees, or outstanding balances in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, major credit or debit cards, approved electronic payment methods (ACH), and personal or business checks. If a check is returned for insufficient funds or any other reason, a Thirty-Five Dollar ($35.00) returned check fee will be assessed. Returned checks will not be accepted as payment for any outstanding balance or future services. Any unpaid balance resulting from a returned check must be satisfied by cash, credit card, debit card, or another approved electronic payment method within fourteen (14) days.

If a credit or debit card is declined, expired, or otherwise unable to be processed, the Client agrees to promptly provide another valid payment method. Outstanding balances resulting from declined payments must be paid within fourteen (14) days using cash, another credit or debit card, or another approved electronic payment method. Personal or business checks will not be accepted after a payment has been declined.

Any additional services requested by the Client that are outside the original scope of work will be quoted separately and, upon the Client's approval, added to the final invoice.

Accounts not paid within fourteen (14) days may be assessed a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) late fee and may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by applicable law until paid in full.

Maid for Knoxville, LLC reserves the right to suspend, postpone, or permanently discontinue current or future services for any account with an outstanding balance or repeated payment issues until all amounts due have been paid in full.

The Client agrees to reimburse Maid for Knoxville, LLC for all reasonable costs incurred in collecting unpaid balances, including collection agency fees, court costs, reasonable attorney's fees, and other collection expenses, where permitted by applicable law.

Any billing or payment dispute must be submitted to the Company in writing within seven (7) days of the payment date. The Client agrees to provide the Company a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with a financial institution.

Pricing, Estimates, and Rate Adjustments

All estimates and quoted prices are based upon the information provided by the Client and the visible condition of the property at the time the estimate is prepared. If the actual condition of the property, square footage, occupancy status, number of occupants, presence of pets, excessive clutter, buildup, neglected conditions, or other material circumstances differ from those originally disclosed, Maid for Knoxville, LLC reserves the right to revise the quoted price or adjust the scope of work before or during the service. Whenever reasonably possible, the Client will be notified of any price adjustment and approval will be obtained before additional charges are incurred.

If the property requires cleaning beyond the level reasonably expected for the scheduled maintenance or deep cleaning service, a Heavy Soiled Cleaning Fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per labor hour may be assessed to compensate for the additional time, labor, equipment, and supplies required. Whenever reasonably possible, the Client will be notified before this fee is applied.

Recurring service rates and all other service pricing are reviewed annually and may also be adjusted throughout the year as necessary to reflect increases in labor costs, employee wages and benefits, minimum wage requirements, fuel costs, travel expenses, insurance premiums, cleaning supplies, equipment costs, inflation, cost-of-living increases, government-imposed taxes or fees, changes in property condition, changes in the scope of work, or other legitimate business expenses.

For recurring services, Maid for Knoxville, LLC will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance written notice of any pricing adjustment, typically by email. Continued use of the Company's services after the effective date of the revised pricing constitutes acceptance of the updated rates.

Promotional pricing, introductory offers, referral credits, discounts, coupons, and special promotions are temporary, have no cash value, may not be combined unless expressly stated by the Company, and may be modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

Estimates are based on the information provided by the Client and, unless otherwise stated, are valid for thirty (30) days from the date issued. If the property condition changes or the estimate is not accepted within that period, Maid for Knoxville, LLC reserves the right to issue a revised estimate.

Liability Insurance

Maid for Knoxville, LLC and all employees are covered by a General Liability insurance.  The existence of insurance coverage does not constitute an admission of liability, guarantee payment of any claim, or alter the limitations of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions. All claims remain subject to investigation and the terms of the applicable insurance policy. A certificate of insurance is available upon request.

Pre-Existing Damage and Unstable Items

Maid for Knoxville, LLC is not responsible for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, age, deterioration, hidden defects, improper installation, manufacturer defects, previous repairs, pre-existing damage, or conditions that existed before service. The Company is also not responsible for damage to unstable, improperly secured, or fragile items, including but not limited to pictures or mirrors not securely mounted, top-heavy decorations, loose shelving, wobbly furniture, unstable lamps, tippy objects, or other items that are improperly supported or at risk of falling during normal cleaning activities.

Professional cleaning may reveal existing conditions that were previously concealed by dirt, grease, soap residue, mineral deposits, oxidation, wax buildup, or other contaminants. The Company shall not be responsible for conditions revealed through the normal performance of cleaning services.

The Client is responsible for securing or removing fragile, unstable, valuable, sentimental, or irreplaceable items before service begins. This includes, but is not limited to, antiques, collectibles, heirlooms, cash, jewelry, firearms, important documents, and other items of unusual value. We do not clean inside China cabinets, curio cabinets, display cabinets, or glass wet bar shelving unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

The Client is responsible for notifying the Company before service of any surfaces, fixtures, finishes, furniture, or items requiring special care or cleaning procedures prior to the start of service. Failure to disclose such information may limit or exclude the Company's responsibility for any resulting damage.

The Company reserves the right to photograph or otherwise document the condition of the property before, during, and after service for quality control, training, and claim investigation purposes. Such documentation will be maintained in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy on our website (www.maidforknoxville.com) and will not be publicly disclosed without the Client's permission, except as required by law or as necessary to investigate or defend a claim.

Any refunds or adjustments must be requested to the Company directly and subject to approval by the Company. Fraudulent claims will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Claims

Any alleged damage must be reported to Maid for Knoxville, LLC within seven (7) days of the completion of service. Failure to report alleged damage within this timeframe may constitute acceptance of the completed service and may result in denial of the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

All claims are investigated and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The Client agrees to provide photographs, a written description of the alleged damage, and any other documentation reasonably requested by the Company. The Company reserves the right to inspect the alleged damage before authorizing any repair, replacement, reimbursement, or settlement Except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent additional damage or to protect the health or safety of persons or property, the Client shall not repair, replace, alter, dispose of, or authorize restoration of the affected item or area until Maid for Knoxville, LLC has been provided a reasonable opportunity to inspect, document, and evaluate the claim.

When appropriate, the Company may elect to repair the item through a qualified restoration professional, replace it with a comparable item, or reimburse its reasonable fair market value after considering the item's age, condition, depreciation, repairability, and original purchase price. Replacement or reimbursement will not exceed the item's reasonable value at the time of the loss.

The Company may request reasonable access to the property within twenty-four (24) hours after receiving notice of a claim to inspect the alleged damage or correct the issue. Failure to provide reasonable access or to cooperate with the claims investigation may result in denial of the claim.

Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maid for Knoxville, LLC's total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to any claim, loss, damage, or dispute connected with the services provided, whether based in contract, negligence, or any other legal theory, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or (b) Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).

This limitation of liability shall not apply to damages resulting from the Company's gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional wrongful acts, or where such limitation is otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

Maid for Knoxville, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost income, lost rental revenue, lost business opportunities, emotional distress, inconvenience, or replacement of items or surfaces beyond the direct damage allegedly caused by the Company.

The Client agrees that the Company’s obligation, if any, shall be limited to reasonable repair, re-cleaning, reimbursement, or replacement as determined by the Company after review of the claim, documentation, and circumstances. Nothing in this section is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

For safety reasons and to protect both clients' property and our staff, Maid for Knoxville LLC does not require employees to lift, move, or shift furniture or objects weighing more than 20 pounds. Employees will not move furniture or objects that reasonably require two people to lift safely. If you need heavy items moved prior to cleaning, please ensure they are relocated before our arrival. Employees will not climb higher than a two-step ladder. This policy helps prevent injury and property damage and ensures our team can clean efficiently and safely.

Employee Non-Solicitation

The Client acknowledges that Maid for Knoxville, LLC invests substantial time, effort, and expense in recruiting, hiring, background screening, training, certifying, equipping, scheduling, supervising, insuring, and retaining its employees and independent contractors. These investments represent valuable business assets and are essential to the Company's ability to provide consistent, high-quality services.

To protect these legitimate business interests, the Client agrees that, during the term of service and for a period of twelve (12) months following the completion or termination of the most recent service provided by Maid for Knoxville, LLC, the Client shall not, directly or indirectly, solicit, recruit, employ, contract with, engage, or otherwise retain any current employee or independent contractor of Maid for Knoxville, LLC to perform cleaning services or any services that compete with those offered by the Company, except with the Company's prior written consent.

For purposes of this section, "solicit" includes, but is not limited to, offering employment, requesting or accepting private services, encouraging an employee or independent contractor to leave the Company, exchanging contact information for the purpose of obtaining services outside the Company, referring others for private work, or otherwise arranging for services that bypass Maid for Knoxville, LLC.

The parties acknowledge and agree that the Company's costs associated with recruiting, advertising, hiring, background screening, onboarding, training, certifying, equipping, insuring, scheduling, supervising, and replacing qualified personnel, together with the loss of customer goodwill, confidential business information, and future business opportunities, are substantial and difficult to determine with precision. Accordingly, if the Client breaches this provision without the Company's prior written consent, the Client agrees to pay Maid for Knoxville, LLC liquidated damages in the amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). The parties expressly agree that this amount represents a reasonable estimate of the Company's anticipated damages and is not intended as a penalty.

Nothing in this section prohibits the Client from employing or contracting with a current employee or independent contractor of Maid for Knoxville, LLC if the Company provides prior written consent and any mutually agreed conditions, including payment of the applicable liquidated damages, have been satisfied.

In addition to the liquidated damages described above, Maid for Knoxville, LLC reserves the right to immediately terminate all current and future services, revoke any unused discounts, promotional pricing, loyalty credits, referral credits, or prepaid service benefits, and pursue any additional remedies available under applicable law for losses not fully compensated by the liquidated damages, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Maid for Knoxville, LLC, its owners, members, managers, employees, independent contractors, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees and court costs, arising out of or relating to:

  • The Client's breach of these Terms and Conditions or any service agreement.
  • Unsafe, hazardous, defective, or concealed conditions on the property that were not disclosed to the Company before service.
  • Injuries or damages caused by pets, domestic animals, guests, tenants, contractors, or other persons present at the property.
  • The Client's failure to secure pets, valuables, firearms, or other hazardous conditions before service.
  • The use of cleaning products, chemicals, tools, or equipment supplied by the Client.
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the Client regarding the condition of the property or the scope of work.
  • Any act or omission of the Client or any person under the Client's direction or control.

This indemnification obligation shall not apply to the extent that a claim is finally determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to have resulted solely from the gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional wrongful acts of Maid for Knoxville, LLC.

The obligations contained in this section shall survive the completion, cancellation, or termination of the services provided under these Terms and Conditions.

Dispute Resolution

The parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the services provided by Maid for Knoxville, LLC through informal discussions before initiating legal proceedings.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiations within thirty (30) days after written notice of the dispute is provided, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through mediation in Knox County, Tennessee, before filing a lawsuit, unless emergency injunctive relief, collection of unpaid amounts, or other immediate legal action is reasonably necessary to protect a party's rights.

Nothing in this section shall prevent Maid for Knoxville, LLC from pursuing collection of unpaid invoices, enforcing these Terms and Conditions, or seeking temporary or emergency relief from a court of competent jurisdiction when immediate action is necessary.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the services provided by Maid for Knoxville, LLC shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the parties agree that any legal action, lawsuit, mediation, arbitration, or other proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the services provided by Maid for Knoxville, LLC shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee. The Client knowingly and voluntarily consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waives any objection based on improper venue or forum non conveniens.

Attorney's Fees and Collection Costs

If the Client breaches these Terms and Conditions, fails to pay amounts due, violates any provision of this Agreement, or otherwise causes Maid for Knoxville, LLC to incur legal fees or expenses to enforce its rights under this Agreement, the Client agrees to reimburse Maid for Knoxville, LLC for all reasonable attorney's fees, court costs, collection agency fees, expert witness fees, filing fees, service of process fees, mediation or arbitration costs, investigative expenses, and all other reasonable costs and expenses incurred in enforcing these Terms and Conditions or collecting any amounts owed, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law or, if necessary, modified only to the extent required to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected by the invalidity or unenforceability of any single provision.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any accepted estimate, proposal, service agreement, work order, invoice, or other written documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Maid for Knoxville, LLC and supersede all prior or contemporaneous oral or written discussions, negotiations, representations, promises, understandings, or agreements relating to the services provided.

No employee, independent contractor, representative, or agent of Maid for Knoxville, LLC has authority to modify or waive these Terms and Conditions unless such modification or waiver is made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of the Company.

The failure or delay of Maid for Knoxville, LLC to enforce any right, remedy, or provision contained in these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision and shall not prevent the Company from enforcing the same or any other provision at a later time.

Any provisions of these Terms and Conditions that by their nature are intended to survive the completion, cancellation, or termination of the services—including, but not limited to, payment obligations, damage claims, limitation of liability, indemnification, employee non-solicitation, attorney's fees, dispute resolution, and any other rights or obligations that reasonably should survive—shall remain in full force and effect following the completion or termination of the services.

Privacy Policy

All customer information is kept confidential and will not be shared without your written consent except as required by law. See our Privacy Policy on our website www.maidforknoxville.com for details.

Modifications

Maid for Knoxville, LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Non-material changes (such as corrections, clarifications, or administrative updates) take effect immediately upon posting.

For any material change — including changes to pricing, liability limitations, dispute resolution, indemnification, or cancellation policies — the Company will provide the Client at least thirty (30) days' advance written notice, typically by email or text to the contact information on file. The updated Terms and Conditions will also be made available upon request.

Continued scheduling or use of the Company's services after the effective date of a material change constitutes the Client's acceptance of the revised terms. If the Client does not agree to a material change, the Client must notify the Company in writing before the effective date; the Company may, at its discretion, either continue service under the prior terms for previously scheduled appointments or decline to provide further service.

By scheduling or using the Company's services, the Client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to review these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.

The Client acknowledges that a current copy of these Terms and Conditions has been provided, attached to this Agreement, or made available through the Company's website at www.maidforknoxville.com.

The Client agrees that an electronic signature, electronic acceptance, online booking, approval by email or text message, payment of an invoice, or acceptance of services shall constitute the Client's agreement to these Terms and Conditions and shall have the same force and effect as an original handwritten signature to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Notify the Company of any special cleaning needs, surfaces requiring special care, or restricted areas.

Provide safe working conditions including running water, electricity, and proper lighting. Late Cancellation/Rescheduling fees may apply if we need to make last-minute schedule changes due to lack of electricity or water.

Any additional work requested that isn’t covered in the original service will be quoted separately and added to the original invoice.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit or debit cards, and electronic payments. Late payments may incur a $25 late fee and may result in suspension of services until the account is paid in full.

We will re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.

Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of service. Each incident is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, we will have the broken item repaired by a professional restoration company. Breakage values must be verified before replacement or reimbursement will be authorized. Please save the broken item for our inspection. The Company may require entry to the location of the claim within 24 hours to correct the problem.

Failure to do so will entitle the Client to nothing. Any refunds or adjustments must be requested to the Company directly and subject to approval by the Company. Fraudulent claims will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Employee Non-Solicitation

Clients agree not to solicit, employ, or contract directly with any current or former Company employee for a period of 12 months after the employee’s termination. You will be charged a $2500 finder's fee if you hire a Cleaning Tech employed by Maid for Knoxville, LLC on an individual basis for private work. Solicitation of a Maid for Knoxville employee for private hire will result in permanent termination of service and forfeiture of any unused discounts or credits as well as the $2500 fee. This does not preclude us from seeking other solicitation-related damages.

Liability Limitations

For safety reasons and to protect both clients' property and our staff, Maid for Knoxville, LLC does not require employees to lift, move, or shift furniture or objects weighing more than 15 pounds. If you need heavy items moved prior to cleaning, please ensure they are relocated before our arrival. This policy helps prevent injury and property damage and ensures our team can clean efficiently and safely.

Cleaning Exclusions

Please note that our standard cleaning services do not include the following: removal of permanent stains from furniture, floors, cabinets, carpets, or other surfaces; carpet steam cleaning or deep extraction; washing the walls; hand-scrubbing of floors; or similar restorative or specialized treatments. These services require specialized equipment or expertise and are outside the scope of our regular offerings.
